Brokerage of Food Products
In early 2010, we began product and buyer finder services for companies in the USA, Peru, India and China. The main client was Trade House Company in Florida, for which we negotiated offers of frozen collard greens, IQF lima beans, unfiltered honey and lemon juice concentrate.
Seminar by Videoconference
In 2009 we prepared an extensive handout and presented a lecture by videoconference to exporters in a seminar in Latvia; and responded to questions by email. The event took place in Riga and at the USDA in College Park, Maryland.
Market Study in Mid-Atlantic States
In 2008 we conducted a study of distribution channels for 15 selected food and beverage products in Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia, for the Embassy of Chile.
Information and Letters of Intent
In 2007 we helped a Salvadoran producer of coconut products obtain market information and letters of intent from U.S. buyers. These materials helped to justify his request for financing.
International Boston Seafood Show:
In early 2006 Plans and Solutions helped the West Africa Trade Hub prepare and conduct an exhibit by five companies in the Boston Seafood Show. The work included exhibit planning, marketing, set-up, operations and follow-up with potential buyers.
Trade Mission from Dominican Republic:
In 2005 we helped plan, organize and conduct a trade mission from the Dominican Republic to Miami. The work included brief studies of the south Florida market for about 20 products, identifying potential buyers, arranging appointments with them and participating in many of the meetings. At least two participating firms began shipments to Miami very soon after the mission.
